Woodland Whimsy Styled Shoot | Christine McFarlane Events / Bam Co-Create

We have some woodsy beauty to share with you today courtesy of Christine McFarlane Events! We are so excited that Christine shared this stunning styled shoot with us! Get ready to swoon over the DIY'd table runner and to drool for doughnuts!

From Christine // "Our Woodland Whimsy styled shoot wanted to embrace the minimalistic beauty of the woodlands. It doesn't take much to dress up a stunning woodland, but we wanted to highlight the classic, beautiful backdrop nature creates for a whimsical, romantic setting.

Our classic beauty elements include the simple Saja wedding gown and light grey neutral bridesmaids dresses from Bella Bridesmaids, the canary yellow wedding ring, and the soft bridal beauty created by Makeup by Farren. Our whimsical, romantic elements were mostly found in the jewel toned, moss dripping tablescape and the lush venue.

The lush woodlands create a gorgeous green backdrop for a stunning bride and her beautiful bridesmaids. The light grey neutral colors of the bridesmaids dresses plays nicely with the organic BoHo bouquet from Lucky Penny Floral and allows for the purple thistle and greenery to stand out. The natural wooden table and moss runner created an organic foundation for the purple water goblets, with ruby red cocktails to pop off the table. A whimsical woodland never looked so good!

A fun DIY project we created for the shoot was our moss runner! We decide to forgo the traditional textile runner, and embraced the beauty of nature! We were about to create this moss with packets of floral moss that we spray painted for the perfect shade of green. We used painters tape to mark the dimensions of a traditional runner. We had to create holes in the portions of the runner of where the floral pieces would sit. And then, we used loose blooms to dress the table up even more!

Oh, and doughnuts, especially from Diablo Doughnuts in the right color scheme, adds a special type of element to the woodlands!"
