Geodes & Watercolor | Rose Quartz Inspiration

Way back in 2015, two photographers attended a conference that would change their lives forever. Not because they discovered the best ice cream place in the world, but because they realized they had a similar idea for a styled shoot, and each a particular set of skills to create something magical.

There is something so special about today's post. I'm not sure if it's because this shoot is ultimately the beginning of BaM Co Create, or because it was our first foray into the world of styled shoots. To be honest, it's a combination of both. We never dreamed this shoot would have been possible and we certainly didn't know what it would lead to. Almost two years after this shoot, we started brainstorming a business that could inspire makers and highlight the creatives that go above and beyond for their own inspiration shoots.

We really couldn't help but pour ourselves into incorporating every last  detail. The team of people that worked with us so diligently to make this shoot a great success was something that continues to leave us in awe. Rachel Mulherin's geode-inspired earrings, the unique  pear shaped ring from St. John's Jewelersdelicious on-site catering from Copper Kitchen, a one-of-a-kind marbled cake from La Cakerie, gorgeous watercolor paper goods and calligraphy agate slices by Pretty Peacock PaperiePippity Pow's table number agate geode slice, and all of it set on the distinctive furniture from Shoemaker Country - with table settings accented by Marlayna's mom's own cobalt blue glass collection. Of course this shoot would have been nothing without the modeling talents from Emma, Griffy, and Jenna who served rose quartz realness in flowy dresses from Bella Bridesmaids.

We worked so hard on every aspect of this shoot, and the DIY inspiration that we supplied added an extra layer of personality that we couldn't have ever bought. The DIY pieces that we put our heart, soul, and a little drunken ambition into will be featured posts of their own, so definitely stay tuned for dipped dyed napkins and  golden geometric hangers

Besides photography, I have a few different hobbies. I really enjoy listening to audiobooks and occasionally lending my voice to some. My husband, Shawn, and I love playing D&D and discovering new interesting food spots! Oh and I'm obsessed with our dog, Pony.
